
Dave Bartholomew (born December 24, 1918, in Edgar, New Orleans, IL) was an American musician, composer, and arranger who worked in the genres of rhythm and blues, jazz, and rock and roll. After serving in World War II, he settled in New Orleans, where he formed a jazz band and began writing songs for local musicians. He gained greatest fame for his collaboration with Fats Domino , for whom he wrote most of the hits. More than 50 of their compositions together reached Billboard Hot 100 Dave Bartholomew is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his contribution to the genre.
