Daniel Ash is an English musician, songwriter, and singer born in 1957. He rose to prominence as the guitarist for the cult gothic rock band Bauhaus , which had a significant influence on the genre. After the band's dissolution, he founded the projects Tones on Tail and Love and Rockets , which also gained acclaim. In recent years Daniel Ash reunited with bandmate Kevin Haskins to form Poptone , which features Haskins' daughter, Diva Dompé . His work has inspired guitarists such as Dave Navarro , Kim Thayil , Hide , and John Frusciante . Daniel Ash has left a significant mark on alternative rock music.
