
Dan Gibson's Solitudes is a project by Canadian photographer, cinematographer, and sound designer Дэна Гибсона , born in 1922. Working in the New Age and classical music genres, he began his career recording nature sounds for films and television productions, such as the Audubon Wildlife Theatre. In 1981, he launched the Solitudes series, which became known for its unique recordings of wildlife sounds mixed with instrumental music. Гибсон also developed innovative equipment, including the "Dan Gibson Parabolic Microphone," making him a pioneer in nature recording. His contribution to the New Age genre remains significant for its popularization of nature sounds in music.
