D. Varshavskiy is a Soviet and Russian rock musician, guitarist, and vocalist, born on January 21, 1964. He is the founder of the rock band «Чёрный Кофе» Black Coffee) and the author of most of its songs. The band rose to fame in the 1980s thanks to its albums and live performances, becoming one of the key figures in the classic metal genre in the USSR. Among «Чёрного Кофе» most famous compositions are "Владимирская Русь" and "Путь наверх" . D. Varshavskiy made a significant contribution to the development of the metal scene in Russia, inspiring many followers.
