Courtney LaPlante is an American-born metal vocalist and songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the Canadian heavy metal band Spiritbox. Born in 1995, she began performing in bands as a teenager and gained recognition as the frontwoman of the now-defunct metalcore group Iwrestledabearonce. Joining the band in 2012 as the successor to their original vocalist, she recorded two albums with them, including "Hail Mary", before departing in 2015. With Spiritbox, LaPlante has further cemented her place in the metal genre, contributing to its evolution with her dynamic vocal range and emotive performances.
