Colosseum is a British rock and jazz fusion band formed in 1968. Known for their innovative blend of progressive rock and jazz elements, the group was founded by drummer Jon Hiseman, keyboardist Dave Greenslade, and saxophonist Dick Heckstall-Smith. Their debut album, "Those Who Are About to Die Salute You", gained critical acclaim for its complex arrangements and musicianship. Notable tracks include "Valentyne Suite", a pioneering work in progressive rock. The band has undergone several lineup changes but remains influential in the jazz-rock genre.
