City and Colour is the acoustic folk/country project of Canadian musician Dallas Green, who is also known as the vocalist and guitarist for the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. Founded in 2004, the project features contributions from Canadian indie rock session musicians such as Daniel Romano and Spencer Burton of Attack in Black. In 2009, Dallas Green received the prestigious Juno Award for "Songwriter of the Year" as part of City and Colour. The project is celebrated for its heartfelt lyrics and contributions to the indie genre.
