Chumbawamba was a British rock band formed in 1982 in Burnley, England. Initially rooted in anarcho-punk, the group evolved to incorporate elements of pop, synth-pop, folk, and world music. They gained international fame in 1997 after signing with EMI and achieving chart success with the single "Tubthumping". Other notable tracks include "Enough is Enough", "Timebomb", and "Top of the World". The band disbanded in 2012, leaving a legacy of blending political activism with diverse musical styles.
