
Chris Hillman (born December 4, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician from the United States. He is considered one of the founders of Californian country rock. Hillman rose to prominence as a member of three influential bands: The Byrds , The Flying Burrito Brothers , and The Desert Rose Band . Although he rarely enjoyed the spotlight, his contributions to these groups were significant: he wrote songs, performed vocal harmonies, and arranged songs. His work helped shape the sound of country rock, making it an important part of musical history.
