Chris Daughtry , born Кристофер Адам Дотри , is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor born in 1979. He is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Daughtry , as well as a finalist on the 2006 season American Idol . After competing on the show, he signed with RCA and formed the band Daughtry . Their self-titled debut album became the fastest-selling rock album in Nielsen SoundScan history, selling over a million copies in less than five weeks. Chris Daughtry has made a significant contribution to the popularization of the modern rock sound.
