Charon is a Finnish gothic metal band formed in 1992 in Finland by Antti Karihtala, Teemu Hautamaki, Pasi Sipila, and Jasse von Hast. The band rose to fame with the single "Little Angel" the video for which reached number one on the Scandinavian charts. The band actively performed and recorded until 2011, releasing several albums that cemented their status in the gothic metal genre. Charon made a significant contribution to the development of the Finnish metal scene, becoming one of the iconic bands of their time.
