Charlie Byrd (also known as Чарли Бирд or Чарли Берд ) is an American jazz guitarist born in 1925 in the United States. He became known for his association with Brazilian music, particularly the bossa nova genre. In 1962, Charlie Byrd collaborated with Stan Getz on the album "Jazz Samba" which played a key role in popularizing bossa nova in North America. His work spanned jazz, Latin music, and pop. Charlie Byrd made a significant contribution to the development of jazz by fusing American and Brazilian musical traditions.
