BWO (an acronym for Bodies Without Organs ) was a Swedish electropop band that existed from 2004 to 2010. The band was formed by Alexander Bard, known for his work with Army of Lovers . The lineup included Marina Shipchenko, formerly of Vacuum , and young vocalist Martin Rolinski. Anders Hanson wrote the band's songs, with Jean-Pierre Barda occasionally joining in. BWO was noted for its minimal use of traditional musical instruments, producing music primarily on laptops. Their hits included "Sunshine in the Rain" and "Temple of Love" The band made a significant contribution to the development of Scandinavian pop music.
