Bushwick Bill (real name Richard Shaw) is a Jamaican rapper born on December 8, 1966. He was a member of the Texas hip hop group Geto Boys , joining in 1986 as a breakdancer under the name Little Billy. He later became a key part of the group, along with Willie D and Scarface . Geto Boys are known for hits like "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" which had a significant influence on Southern hip hop. Bushwick Bill contributed to the development of the genre by combining social themes with a unique style. He passed away on June 9, 2019.
