Bruce Cockburn (Bruce Douglas Cockburn) is a Canadian singer-songwriter born in 1945. Over the course of his career, he has released over 30 albums, including four platinum and over 20 gold albums. His work combines elements of folk, rock, pop, and jazz, and his lyrics often explore spiritual and political themes. Bruce Cockburn has won numerous awards, including SOCAN and Juno Awards, has been named Male Artist of the Year twice, and has also received a Governor General's Award. He is inducted into the Canadian Music and Songwriters Halls of Fame, has a star on Canada's Walk of Fame, and is an Officer of the Order of Canada.
