Brendan James is an American singer-songwriter and pianist from Derry, New Hampshire, born in 1979. Early in his career, he performed at open mic nights in New York City before signing with Capitol Records in 2005. Although he recorded his debut album with the label, it was never released due to a merger with Virgin Records. Undeterred, he independently produced and released the EP The Ballroom Break-in. In 2008, he joined Decca Records, where he released two studio albums. Known for his heartfelt lyrics and piano-driven melodies, Brendan James has made a lasting impact on the pop and R&B genres.
