Bread is an American rock band formed in 1969 in Los Angeles. The band was formed at the instigation of studio musician and producer Дэвида Гейтса , who played vocals, guitar, and keyboards. The original lineup also included Робб Ройер , with whom Гейтс had previously collaborated, and Джеймс Гриффин from Tennessee. The band is known for its melodic soft rock compositions, including the hits "Make It with You" and "Everything I Own" Bread made a significant contribution to the popularization of soft rock, becoming one of the genre's key bands.
