Boy George (real name George Alan O'Dowd) is a British singer and songwriter, born June 14, 1961. He became a key figure in the New Romantic movement of the 1980s. Boy George is best known as the frontman of the band Culture Club , whose hits, such as "Karma Chameleon" and "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" became international sensations. He also worked with the Jesus Loves You project and pursued an active solo career, experimenting with pop, house, and electronica.
