
Boris Vian (1920–1959) was a French writer, poet, jazz musician, and singer. Born in Paris, he became known for his modernist works and contributions to French culture. In music, Boris Vian performed pop and pop songs and was also active in the jazz scene. Among his famous compositions is "Le Déserteur" which became an anti-war anthem. In addition to writing under his own name, he also wrote under the pseudonym Vernon Sullivan . Boris Vian left a significant mark on the musical and literary history of France, anticipating the cultural changes of the 1960s.
