
Bola de Nieve (real name Ignacio Villa Fernández) was a Cuban singer, pianist, and songwriter born on September 11, 1911, in Guanabacoa, Cuba. Known for his unique blend of Latin American music and jazz, he studied at the Mateu Conservatory in Havana. Bola de Nieve gained international recognition for his emotive performances and multilingual repertoire, which included songs in Spanish, French, and English. His most famous works include "Ay, Amor" and "La Flor de la Canela". A beloved figure in Cuban music, he contributed significantly to the global appreciation of Latin jazz before his passing on October 2, 1971.
