Bobby Vee (real name Robert Thomas Velline ) was an American singer born on April 30, 1943, in the United States. He became a teen idol in the early 1960s, performing pop music. During his career Bobby Vee recorded thirty-eight hits on "Billboard Hot 100" chart, ten of which reached the Top 20. His achievements included six gold singles. Bobby Vee had a significant influence on the development of pop music, remaining one of the leading figures of his time.
