Black Francis , born Чарльз Майкл Киттридж Томпсон IV , is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist, born April 6, 1965. He is best known as the frontman of the influential alternative rock band Pixies , where he performed under the stage name Блэк Фрэнсис . After the band's disbandment in 1993, he launched a solo career under the name Фрэнк Блэк , releasing two albums on the 4AD label. He later formed the band Frank Black and the Catholics . In 2004, Pixies reunited, and the artist himself continued to release solo records and tour. His work has had a significant influence on the development of alternative rock.
