Биргит Нильсон (1918–2005) was a Swedish opera singer born in Sweden. She was known for her powerful soprano and outstanding interpretations of works by Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss. Биргит Нильсон received the title of Court Singer of the Kingdom of Sweden and the title of Kammersänger of the Vienna State Opera and the Bavarian State Opera.
