Biosphere , real name Геир Йенссен , is a Norwegian ambient musician born on May 30, 1962. He began his musical career as a member of the collective Bel Canto , but later focused on solo work. Biosphere sound is distinguished by a unique "arctic" flavor that sets it apart from other ambient projects. His albums, such as "Substrata" are considered classics of the genre and have had a significant influence on the development of ambient music.
