
Bill Champlin is an American singer, keyboardist, guitarist, and songwriter born in 1947. He founded the band Sons of Champlin in 1965, which continues to perform. From 1981 to 2009, he was a member of the rock group Chicago, contributing vocals to major hits like "Hard Habit to Break" (1984), "Look Away" (1988), and "I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love." During live performances, he often sang baritone parts originally performed by founding guitarist Terry Kath. A recipient of multiple Grammy Awards for songwriting, Champlin has left a lasting mark on pop and rock music.
