
Beth Gibbons (full name Elisabeth Gibbons ) is a British singer and songwriter, born January 4, 1965. She is best known as the lead singer of the band Portishead , which became one of the key figures in the trip hop genre. The group released such iconic albums as "Dummy" (1994) and "Portishead" (1997), which received critical acclaim and numerous awards. In addition to her work with Portishead , Beth also released a solo album "Out of Season" (2002), recorded in collaboration with Rustin Man . Her unique vocals and emotional depth have made a significant contribution to the development of modern music.
