Best Coast is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2009. Their music blends elements of garage rock, surf pop, and lo-fi. The group consists of vocalist and songwriter Bethany Cosentino and multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno. While Bruno handles drum parts in their recordings, the band has worked with several live drummers, including former Vivian Girls drummer Ali Koehler. Known for their sun-soaked melodies and introspective lyrics, Best Coast gained widespread attention with their debut album "Crazy for You" and hits like "Boyfriend." They have significantly contributed to the resurgence of surf-inspired indie music.
