Battlelore is a Finnish metal band formed in 1999 by Jyri Vahvanen and Miikka Kokkola. Known for their English-language lyrics, the group drew inspiration from the works of British author J.R.R. Tolkien, weaving themes from his Middle-earth mythology into their music. Over their career, Battlelore released several albums that gained attention in the symphonic and fantasy metal scenes. Their unique blend of heavy riffs and epic storytelling set them apart in the genre. Though the band ceased activity in 2011, their contributions to fantasy-inspired metal remain influential.
