Батырхан Шукенов (also known as Батыр ) is a Soviet and Kazakh pop singer, musician, and composer, born May 18, 1962. He was one of the founders and lead singers of the popular Kazakh-Russian group «А'Студио» , with which he gained widespread fame thanks to hits such as "Джулия" In 2000, Батыр launched a successful solo career, releasing several albums. From 2009 to 2015, he was a ЮНИСЕФ Goodwill Ambassador for Kazakhstan. His contribution to the development of Russian pop music and pop music remains significant. Батырхан Шукенов died on April 29, 2015.
