Azra is a Yugoslav rock band from Zagreb, formed in 1977. Led by frontman Бранимир "Джонни" Штулич , the original lineup included Мишо Хрняка and Бориса Лайнера . The band's name is inspired by the poem " Der ASRA " by Heinrich Heine. Azra became one of the key figures of the Yugoslav rock movement " novi val " of the 1980s. Among their well-known songs are " Balkan " and " Usne vrele višnje ." The band made a significant contribution to the development of rock music in Yugoslavia, leaving a distinctive mark on the history of the genre.
