Авиа was a Soviet and Russian rock band from Leningrad, founded in September 1985 by former members of the band «Странные игры» : Nikolai Gusev, Alexey Rakhov, and Alexander Kondrashkin. The band performed Russian rock and ska, combining ironic lyrics with theatrical performances. Авиа gained popularity in the 1980s thanks to their vibrant concerts and albums, which became part of the cultural legacy of the Soviet rock scene. Their work influenced the development of the genre and remains a significant chapter in the history of Russian music.
