Aston Merrygold is a British pop, soul, and dance music artist born in 1988. Hailing from the UK, he gained fame as a member of the boy band JLS, which rose to prominence after finishing second on the fifth season of The X Factor. With JLS, he achieved five UK number-one singles and a chart-topping album, selling over 10 million records before the group disbanded in 2013 and later reunited in 2020. Beyond music, he served as a judge on the dance talent show Got to Dance. Merrygold has significantly contributed to the UK pop and dance music scene.
