Arkhon Infaustus is a French blackened death metal band formed in 1997 in Paris by vocalist and guitarist Deviant . Bassist Torturer soon joined, and they released the EP In Sperma Infernum . In 2001, their debut album Hell Injection was released via Osmose Productions . The lineup was subsequently expanded to include guitarist Toxik H. , and drummer Hellblaster was replaced by Azk.6 . Their second album, Filth Catalyst was a sales success. The band also released a split with Revenge and toured with Deicide . Arkhon Infaustus made a significant contribution to the development of extreme metal.
