Arctic Monkeys is a British rock band formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The group currently consists of vocalist and guitarist Alex Turner, guitarist Jamie Cook, drummer Matt Helders, and bassist Nick O'Malley, who replaced former member Andy Nicholson in 2006. Their debut album, "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not", became the fastest-selling debut album in UK chart history. Known for hits like "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" and "Do I Wanna Know?", the band has received numerous awards, including the Mercury Prize. They are celebrated for their influence on the indie rock genre.
