Ara Dinkjian is an Armenian-American musician born on June 18, 1958, in the United States. He is the founder of the band Night Ark , which combines elements of Eastern music and jazz. Динкджян is considered one of the world's finest oud players. His compositions have been recorded in thirteen languages, including the multi-platinum hit "Dinata" which was performed at the closing ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympics. Динкджяна work has had a significant influence on the popularization of Eastern music internationally.
