Antony Hegarty , also known as Anohni , is a British-American singer, songwriter, and artist born on October 24, 1971, in Chichester, England. She is the lead singer of Antony and the Johnsons , who gained recognition for their 2005 Mercury Prize -winning album, "I Am a Bird Now" . Her well-known songs include "Hope There's Someone" and "You Are My Sister" Anohni has also collaborated with artists such as Björk and Hercules and Love Affair . Her work has had a significant influence on the development of experimental and chamber pop music.
