Anette Olzon, born Anette Ingegerd Blyckert on June 21, 1971, in Sweden, is a prominent figure in the epic metal genre. She gained international recognition as the lead vocalist of the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish from 2007 to 2012, contributing to albums like "Dark Passion Play" and "Imaginaerum". Before Nightwish, she was part of the Swedish band Alyson Avenue. Post-Nightwish, she collaborated with Pain on their album "Cynic Paradise" and worked with The Rasmus. Since 2017, she has been the vocalist for The Dark Element. Her contributions have significantly shaped the symphonic and epic metal scenes.
