A nephew of the legendary sitarist Ravi Shankar, he carved his own path with innovative compositions. His self-titled debut album, released in 1970, featured unique interpretations of tracks like "Jumpin' Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones. Over his career, he released several albums, including "Ananda Shankar and His Music", which gained cult status. His work has influenced both Indian and global music scenes, bridging cultural and musical divides.
