Amir Obè is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer of Sudanese-Polish descent, born on August 26, 1989, in Detroit, Michigan. Initially performing under the name Freshy Duzit, he began his career in 2009 and signed with Atlantic Records. Later, he rebranded as Amir Obè and founded the collective Neighborhood PHCK$. His 2014 mixtape "Detrooklyn" gained significant attention, followed by EPs "Happening in the Grey Area" (2015) and "Won't Find Love in the Hills" (2016). On December 1, 2016, he announced his signing with Def Jam Recordings, releasing the single "Wish You Well" in March 2017. Amir Obè is known for his introspective lyrics and contributions to modern hip-hop.
