Altai Kai is an Altai folk group from the Altai Republic, founded in 1997 by Urmat Yntayev. Their music is based on traditional throat singing and the use of local instruments such as the khomus and topshuur. Altai Kai music is dedicated to the nature and history of Altai, making them important guardians of the region's cultural heritage.
