Alkaline Trio is a punk band from Chicago, USA, formed in December 1996. The original lineup included Matt Skiba, Rob Doran, and Glenn Porter. After releasing the Sundials EP in 1997, Rob Doran was replaced by former Slapstick bassist Dan Andriano. Their debut full-length album, Goddamnit, came out in late 1998, establishing their presence in the punk scene. Following this, the band released two more albums in 2000. In 2001, drummer Mike Felumlee was replaced by former The Suicide Machines drummer Derek Grant, solidifying the lineup. Alkaline Trio is known for their dark, melodic punk sound and significant contributions to the genre.
