Alexandre Desplat (full name: Александр Мишель Жерар Деспла ) is a French film composer born in 1961. He is a winner of two Academy Awards for his scores to Отель „Гранд Будапешт“ and Форма воды , and a seven-time nominee. Desplat received Золотой глобус Award for Разрисованная вуаль , as well as a Грэмми and BAFTA Award for his score to The Король говорит! . He has been named Composer of the Year three times by the International Soundtrack Academy. His works have made a significant contribution to the development of the film music genre.
