Alex Kapranos (full name: Alexander Paul Kapranos) is a Scottish musician, born March 20, 1972. He is the lead singer and guitarist for the alternative rock band Franz Ferdinand . The band achieved international fame thanks to hits such as "Take Me Out" and "Do You Want To" Franz Ferdinand have received numerous awards, including Brit Award for Best British Act.
