Alex G , born Александр Джаннасколи , is an American musician, producer, and songwriter born in 1993. He began his career with independent releases on Bandcamp, where he gained attention with his debut album, DSU , released on Orchid Tapes . He later signed with Lucky Number , which reissued his early albums, Rules and Trick . In 2015, Alex G joined Domino Recording Company , where he released the albums Beach Music , Rocket , House of Sugar , and God Save the Animals . His work has been influential in the development of independent music and DIY culture.
