Алексей Кузнецов is a Soviet and Russian jazz musician, composer, and teacher, born on September 6, 1941. He is a People's Artist of the Russian Federation and a prominent representative of the jazz mainstream. For many years, he worked with Эстрадно-симфоническом оркестре Центрального телевидения and Всесоюзного радио under Юрия Силантьева , as well as with Государственном симфоническом оркестре кинематографии . Кузнецов collaborated with leading Soviet jazz musicians and participated in international jazz festivals in the USSR, Russia, the USA, Europe, and Asia. His contribution to the popularization of jazz guitar and the development of jazz in Russia is difficult to overstate.
