Алексей Хвостенко , also known as Хвост , was a Soviet and Russian avant-garde poet, songwriter, and playwright. Born on November 14, 1940, in the USSR, he later lived and worked in France. His work belongs to the genre of Russian art song. Хвостенко composed over 100 songs, many of which have become iconic, including works co-written with Анри Волохонским . In addition to music, he wrote several plays and was involved in visual arts. He died on November 30, 2004, leaving a significant contribution to the development of Russian art song and avant-garde art.
