Аида Ведищева (real name Ида Соломоновна Вайс ) was a Soviet and American singer, born on June 10, 1941. She rose to fame performing popular songs from films and cartoons, including such hits as "Comrade" and "Song of the Bears" from the film "Kidnapping, Caucasian Style." Аида Ведищева also performed under the stage names Aida Vedischeva and Anna Vedisheva . Her work left a significant mark on Russian pop music, and her voice became a symbol of an entire era of Soviet musical culture.
