
Ahmad Zahir (1946–1979) was an Afghan singer and composer, widely known as the "Afghan Elvis Presley." Born in Afghanistan, he became an iconic figure in pop music and also experimented with elements of rap and hip-hop. His work included numerous hits that remain popular in Afghanistan and among the Afghan diaspora. Ahmad Zahir had a significant influence on the development of the Afghan music scene, fusing traditional melodies with modern Western styles.
