AFI (or A Fire Inside ) is an American alternative rock band formed in 1991 in Ukiah, USA. The band is known for its experiments in punk rock and alternative music. During their career, AFI has released several successful albums, including "Sing the Sorrow" and "Decemberunderground" the latter of which achieved platinum status. Their single "Miss Murder" became a hit and reached high positions in the charts. The band also performed at major music festivals and received recognition for their energetic live performances. AFI made a significant contribution to the development of the alternative scene, combining dark lyrics with a melodic sound.
