Acid Bath was a sludge metal band from Houma, Louisiana, USA. Formed in 1991, the band lasted until 1997. Acid Bath was distinguished by a unique sound, combining elements of doom metal, hardcore punk, death metal, gothic rock, and blues. During their existence, they released two albums, "When the Kite String Pops" (1994) and "Paegan Terrorism Tactics" (1996), which gained cult status among fans of the genre. The band disbanded after the tragic death of bassist Оди Питра in a car accident in January 1997. Acid Bath left a significant mark on sludge metal, inspiring many followers.
